WHAT ARE THE TASKS OF AN ELECTRICIAN

They may perform the following:

Determine job requirements by reading electrical, architectural and mechanical diagrams, drawings or specifications.

It’s their job description to plan the layout of wiring systems

To do all the testing, locate and repair electrical malfunctions

The installing electrical and electronical control systems

The assemble and fabricate electrical and electronic components and appliances

To perform the above tasks of an electrician, you may find that the following requirements are needed

 

You should be able to enjoy mathematical and technical activities

Be practical and good hand-eye coordination

Have a good eyesight and normal colour vision or get your eyes checked for spectacles

Performing diagnostic ability

Have an aptitude for mechanics and electronics

Should be able to do precise and detailed work

Always able to work as part of a team

Able to work independently

Should be physically fit

And have good communication skills, your job will be communicating with clientele and colleagues

 

 

Where can an electrician work?

 

Well to sum it all up basically we would say anyway where there is electricity. They can work in centers or manufacturers' factories. They may have a considerable amount of contact with the public. They may work in confined spaces and have to stand for long periods. They may also be required to work at heights on roofs, towers and masts.

Electricians may install insulated cables and connect switches, outlets and other fittings; connect circuit breakers, transformers, motors, heaters and other electrical equipment; and install electrical equipment such as storage heaters, water heaters, electric signs, switchboards, motors and other electrical equipment. Electricians must be aware of safety regulations and must often wear and use supplied protective equipment to minimize risks.

 

 

With experience and possibly some business training, electricians may specialize as electrical contractors, who order materials, organize staff to meet customer needs and carry out other tasks associated with running a business
